Despite months of speculation, the news that Panthers coach Anthony Griffin had been sacked just weeks before the finals shocked the NRL world late yesterday afternoon.
But, almost immediately, talk turned to Griffin's replacement - and, in particular, whether Ivan Cleary would be tempted to leave the Tigers and join his son Nathan at Penrith.
This morning, the Sydney Morning Herald's Danny Weidler joined The Grill Team and revealed that that particular scenario may be closer to a reality than we realise.
