Another sports star has fallen victim to appendicitis over in South Australia.
Melbourne United guard Chris Goulding, who travelled to Adelaide to take part in tonight's season opener against the 36ers, was admitted to hospital on Thursday morning.
The club suspects he has appendicitis.
Melbourne United will fly to the US on Friday to take on NBA side Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday, with the club yet to confirm whether or not Goulding will take part.
Tohi Smith-Milner will replace Goulding on the club's roster for tonight's clash.
The 36ers have also been hit, with the team releasing Ronald Roberts from his contract due to a knee injury.
