Service Interruptions With Bus Strikes In Sydney's West

Bus drivers on some western Sydney and NSW Central Coast services have walked off the job during another day of industrial action that may cause disruptions but also includes free travel for passengers.

The Transport Workers' Union said members on buses from the Busways company's depots in Penrith, Blacktown, Windsor, Gosford and Wyong will hold two stop-work meetings, turn off Opal card readers and refuse to help with refuelling on Tuesday.

TWU said Busways management has repeatedly rejected the majority of the union's log of claims, adding that drivers will stop work for one-hour meetings at 6am and 4.30pm.
