Warm Weather Sparks Crime Concern

The warmer weather sparking concerns for residents throughout the Wagga region after residents saw a peak in break and enter offences this time last year.

The Australian Bureau of Crime Statistics counted a total of 809 break and enter into dwellings during the 2016-17 year, with police claiming one offender accounted for 45 of the offences.

Residents are hoping to curb the figures this year with neighbourhood watch groups holding meetings throughout this week in Ashmont and Tolland, urging residents to voice their concerns and learn ways in which to remain vigilant
