PayPal has thrown its support behind the 'yes' vote in the same-sex marriage debate, with the announcement it will match donations made to the cause.
According to a statement from PayPal, the decision extends from the fact that "inclusion and equality" are at the business' core.
"We’re putting our money where our mouth is. We are thrilled to be matching each donation made on this page up to $250, to a total of $50,000," PayPal said in a statement.
"As PayPal believes in equality for its employees within the workplace, we also believe it should exist and be recognised outside of the workplace. It’s time for marriage equality in Australia."
These donations will be matched for all contributions made through the Australians For Equality website.
