A Mt Gambier man was injured yesterday after he crashed his motorcycle in sand dunes at Nora Creina.
Just before 10am on Sunday 26 November, police patrols from Beachport and Millicent plus emergency services crews responded to a motorcyclist who injured himself after he fell from his bike in scrub and sand dunes.
It took nearly 30 minutes to locate the man in the remote area, before he was treated at the scene.
The 30-year-old man was taken to the Mt Gambier with broken ribs and collarbone plus a broken ankle.
Police suggest motorcycle riders or any person travelling to remote areas to strongly consider using and taking an EPIRB ( Emergency Position Indicating Radio Beacon) device or a mobile phone with coverage in remote areas. It could save your life or someone else's. Police are suggesting
