Police are seeking a suspected hit-run driver after a man was found fatally wounded on a Jamieson Road.

The yet-to-be identified victim was found left to die on Mansfield-Woods Point Road early Sunday morning - emergency services were unable to save him.

Major crash investigators are appealing for any information regarding the incident - a crime scene has been established.
