Aussie hip-hop group Bliss N Eso has announced a special tribute show, in honour of the Gold Coast stuntman who was fatally shot while filming the music video for their latest song Friend Like You.
28-year-old Johann Ofner was shot with a gun loaded with blanks at a bar in Brisbane last month.
Bliss N Eso have pushed back the release of their up-coming album until the end of April and will instead hold a charity concert at the Coolangatta Hotel next Friday, March 3.
All proceeds will be donated to a trust for Johann's young daughter.
Coolangatta Hotel, ticketing outlet Oztix and suppliers are waiving fees, while a t-shirt designed for the cause will also see funds donated to the trust.
“The past few weeks have been some of the toughest times we’ve ever been through both individually and as a band,” Bliss N Eso said in a statement today.
“It has been a constant roller-coaster of emotions and we really appreciate all the ongoing support from our friends, family and loyal fans.
“We continue to offer our support to the family and friends of Johann Ofner who tragically passed away on the set of our music video. We are thankful for his family’s blessing in allowing us to put on this tribute concert, to celebrate the life of this amazing man and loving father.”
