Schools eating healthy

Battle against junk food

Schools eating healthy

Junk food in schools and sporting events for kids has certainly become a big issue. Its an issue that costing 56 billion dollars a year and is seeing 1 in 4 aussie kids being classified as obese/overweight.

I chatted to the principal of the Esperance Anglican School: Kerr Fulton-Peebles about the issue and how their school has worked with promoting a healthy lifestyle through the curriculum.

He spoke of the school being a member of the WA schools canteen association. An association that grades and assesses the schools menu.

I'll have this interview on the air on Friday for breakfast - Draker
