A new local tourism body with an aim of improving visitor numbers to the region held their official launch last night.
The Wagner backed organization hosted several hundred guests for the launch at Wellcamp Airport.
The industry led ‘not-for-profit’ group is working together with tourism operators to help a sell a ‘complete experience’ to visitors.
The menu for the evening focused on food and wine from the Darling Downs including Oakey Beef, Lilydale Murray Cod, beer battered cauliflower from Helidon and Banyard quail from Pittsworth.
The guests were entertained by Air North Ambassador Chelsea Basham and fellow country artist Mick Lindsay.
