The Southern Downs' stunning national parks and waterfalls have helped to boost the local economy - with people from far and wide filling accommodation to the max over the Easter weekend.

The Warwick Visitor Info Centre recording a 30 percent jump in visitor enquiries compared to Easter last year.

Visitors and residents were treated to a thriving events calendar across the weekend, with the 2017 Australian Pontiac Nationals drawing huge crowds across Warwick.

The long weekend also attracted an influx of campers across the region, with the stunning weather an added bonus.  Many camping and caravan accommodation providers reported they were fully booked even before the long weekend commenced.

From National Parks, adventure activities to wineries, fresh local food and exhilarating events, the Southern Downs had plenty to offer visitors the region.
