CQ State Election Results Roll In

In an election wrap up...

Labor candidate Glenn Butcher is victorious, taking the seat of Gladstone for another sitting. He currently holds a 65% lead, with LNP's Chay Conaglen holding just 11%.

ALP’s Brittany Lauga has also had another win, claiming the seat of Keppel for a second time. Ms Lauga is sitting on 42% of the vote, with LNP's Peter Blundell pulling less than 25%.

LNP can expect a runaway victory in Gregory, with Lachlan Millar claiming over 45% of the vote. ALP's Dave Kerrigan is coming second with less than 22%.

Rockhampton is still up in the air, with results too close to call.

ALP's Barry O'Rourke is leading with nearly 32% of the vote. Margaret Strelow, who entered the race as an independent after missing Labor pre-selection, currently holds 24%.

ABC election analyst Antony Green anticipated Ms Strelow would win due to preferencing.
