Two Coast men charged over separate assaults Belmont Police station.

A Killarney Vale man has been refused bail to face Gosford Local Court in November, after allegedly climbing over the back fence of a property in Gosford and assaulting two women inside.

Brisbane Water police allege the incident happened just after midnight on Wednesday, when the 49 year old, under the influence, scaled the fence in Donnison Street, and was confronted by a woman.

He refused to leave and the occupant called a female relative who arrived a short time later with a male friend.

When Police were contacted he pushed the man backwards onto the ground and started assaulting both women, punching and kicking them in the face, causing serious injuries.

Neighbours contacted Police who arrived finding serious injuries to the victims. Police forced entry into the premises where the man had retreated with OC spray and Taser being used during the arrest.

The man's been slapped with three charges, including Wound with Intent Grievous Bodily Harm. 

Further north, a Woongarrah man has been charged over an assault which left a man suffering two skull fractures, brain bleeds and a split ear drum in the Lake Macquarie region last month.

The 37 year old was arrested at Belmont Police station yesterday, following a two week investigationg by police into an incident at a sporting function in Blackalls Park.

A 41-year-old man was allegedly punched by another man, suffering head injuries and was taken to John Hunter Hospital.

The Coast man has been charged with recklessly inflict grievous bodily harm and granted conditional bail to appear at Toronto Local Court on October 24.
