A special day on the South Cairns Cutters AFL Club calendar as they take on the Manunda Hawks on Saturday in the 15 year anniversary Kris Seivers memorial match. Women's football 11.30am, reserves 1.00pm & seniors 3.00pm at Fretwell Park, Kris Seivers remembrance ceremony 2.45pm  post reserves grade game. From 7pm there will be the auction of the special jerseys and fun raising for Give Me 5 For Kids.

 

The Beach Shack, Kewarra Beach Resort is hosting a charity fundraiser in aid of COUCH Cairns on Saturday night. Live music from 3pm to 6pm, with awesome food and drinks right on the beach! Voluntary $5 entry fee

Taste of Fringe is on Saturday night at the Cairns Dinner Theatre. The night starts with an awesome variety show, plenty of games, prizes and raffles. Join hosts Shad Wicka and Peter James for at great night full of laughs and partying. Tickets $10

 

Paint Yungaburra Pink is on Sunday. It’s a car and bike show, family entertainment and kids rides. The event is on at the Yungaburra Markets Park from 10am with a gold coin donation raising money for the Mcgrath Foundation.

 

The Esplanade Markets showcase local, quality products from contemporary jewellery, leather work, pottery, clothes and skincare and are on Saturday from 8am – 4pm.

 

Night Fire by Tjapukai is on Saturday night from 7pm. Be greeted by the Bama, the people of the rainforest and welcomed to country with face painting, complimentary sparkling wine and bush food inspired canapes. Follow the resonant call of the didgeridoo across a flame-lit bridge to the rainforest theater, where the Tjapukai people take to the stage. Tickets from Tjapukai website.

 

Acoustic Sessions with 3's A Crowd is on Saturday from 6pm Coco’s Bar at the Pullman Cairns International.

 

You are invited to a celebration of Tibetan music and culture with internationally renowned Tibetan singer-songwriter Tenzin Choegyal. It’s on Saturday night at the Clink Theatre.

 

90’s band CDB will be performing at the Reef Hotel Casino on Saturday night from 9pm. Free entry.
